BMC Car Sales Warranty
BMC car sales offers a one month or 1,000 miles (which ever comes first) warranty on the vehicles that it sells. Those parts that are covered will be replaced or repaired by BMC car sales.
ENGINE: Internal failure of mechanical parts as follows: Oil pump, crankshaft and bearings, timing chain and gears, camshafts and cam followers, tappets and rocker gear, valves and guides (excluding burned out parts), piston and rings, connecting rods, cylinder bores, distributor drive, all internal bushings, flywheel, cylinder head.
MANUAL GEARBOX: Internal failure of mechanical parts, gears, synchromesh hubs, selectors, shafts, bearings and bushes, excluding external links.
AUTOMATIC GEARBOX: Failure of the following parts, gears, clutches, brake bands, valve block, oil pump, bearings and bushes, but excluding external linkages, adjustments and electrics.
DIFFERENTIAL: Mechanical failure in all types of final drive, including internal half shafts, crown wheel and pinion gears, shafts, bearings and bushes but excluding external drive shafts.
OIL SEALS & GASKETS: Parts only - the customer to pay the full cost of all labour charges and VAT.
PROPSHAFTS & LIVE AXELS: Failure of the following parts: Live axels and prop shafts, front wheel universal joints, external driveshaft including constant velocity joints, universal joints, bearings and bushes, but excluding rubber couplings, boots, seals and hubs.
CLUTCH: The following parts are covered against mechanical failure or oil contamination: Clutch disc, pressure plate and release bearings, but excluding burnt out parts and general wear and tear.
TORQUE CONVERTER: Mechanical failure of the toque converter unit.
COOLING SYSTEM: Failure of the water pump, thermostat, and thermostat housing.
ELECTRICS: Internal mechanical failure of the starter motor and ring gear for cars of mileage below 50,000 miles.
BREAKING SYSTEM: Internal mechanical failure of master cylinder and servo unit.
FUEL SYSTEM: Internal failure of the following parts: Carburettor, fuel pump, injector pump.
WHEEL BEARINGS: Parts only.
SUSPENSION PUMPS: Excluding belts and adjustments.
